Nightmares, Confusion and Tragedy

I really dislike how often my dreams involve tragedy and fearful events. It is honestly getting old.
Last nights dream involved a series of confusing events, tragedy and waking filled with pangs of fear, yet again. :(

I had a couple of dreams before this last disturbing one involving my son eating some substance a lady in my basement concocted that had to do with painting or something along those lines. Then I was washing a wall and all the paint was coming off and even dissolving into the drywall. Each of my dreams were during the evening or just before dusk. I remember Elijah walking in the front door after he was suppose to be sleeping and I was getting angered he would leave the house after he should be in bed because of fear something would happen to him.

The final dream began with me driving in my truck to my sisters house. As I was passing over the creek I was becoming confused as to exactly where her home was. I knew it was just 2 homes after the creek but there were a series of other homes that were there now that never were before. All of these homes looked run down and in dire need of repair. I drove into a drive way and was confused because I thought it was my sister house, but that they were reconstructing it and that is why it looked so different. I was wrong and had to turn around. Just then my Dad, brother and sister were all in the vehicle with me. They were all drunk and trying to tell me where my sisters house was. I remember my dad and brother telling me that they were done drinking but by sister was going to have maybe one more. I was confused over this as well because I kept thinking that she was pregnant and shouldn't be drinking. We pulled into my sisters drive way and got out. It was dark by this time and my husband was there with my children already. There were quite a few people over there and many were off in the woods behind the house. Elijah was upset and came over by me to talk, he was telling me that a boy hit him in the head and I have him a hug and told him not to play with that boy. I looked up and noticed 2 of my sisters walking towards me, they were telling me to come and walk with them through the woods. I was thinking to myself how the kids shouldn't be alone in the woods but you have to "let go" and let them grow sometime in life. I was still feeling uneasy and wanted to walk with them to where the kids were. I started walking towards them and there were trails of gravel that wound around the house and through the woods. The trail was still being built or laid with the gravel and it was loose. I decided to walk along the dirt off of the gravel. I was thinking to myself how my sister Karie bought a home next to my other sister Katie and the trails connected the homes and also went into the woods to an area in the back where everyone was. I heard screaming, my niece Tia in particular. And others started screaming too in the distance behind the trees in the woods. I got panicky and started to jog in the direction of the screams. At first I wasn't sure if they were alarming screams or playful screaming. As I started in the direction of the screams which clearly turned into screams of fear and alarm, a woman came around the path freaking out. She told me not to go over there and to just stay back. I asked her if an ambulance was needed and she said no, I kept asking what happened and if someone was hurt and she said that they were already dead. I started to freak out and kept asking WHO?!? My daughter came around the bend and was crying and was extremely upset. I kept asking her WHO?!? and she wouldn't answer me. Then again I would ask if I needed to call 911 and she said no, we are going to need a bus. Again I was extremely confused and filled with fear. I awoke still wondering who was killed and what happened and just why the hell would we need a bus over an ambulance and filled with absolute fear.


Just about every time i have these kinds of dreams, which is the average I have unfortunately, I wake up tired and exhausted and in a really bad mood. I am getting quite sick of it.

My dream was situated on a river bank in the back 40 of a yard. I was fishing with a few people there, 2 young boys, an ex boyfriend and my husband. I could  see an abundance of fish in the river. The water was crystal clear most of the dream, at some points the water would become patchy with murkiness so that you couldn't see the fish. There were some strange fish, "dogfish" that actually had legs and were walking along the bottom of the river bed, which was clean and sandy. I remember there were cars parked behind us and that is were the fishing equipment was kept. I was getting my fishing pole ready to fish and talking with my ex, i cant remember what the convo was about. I went back to the river and the water was draining, the fish were swimming in mere puddles 1/2 out of water. Then along came a parade of what seemed to be circus performers of all ages. There was a woman in particular that stated they were traveling to perform and met up along the river. They came from all corners of the US and started at about 20 and were up to about 500. As they passed the river ran dry and they walked along the sandy bed.
River
To see a clear and calm river in your dream indicates that you are just going with the flow. You are allowing your life to float away. It is time to take a more decisive role in directing your life. Out To Eat

Later I had another dream. My husband and I were out to eat at a sea food restaurant. It was located in our home town, but i felt so far away. We had the children and we also had a baby girl with us. I was carrying her and when I talked to the host I handed her to Matt.  I am unsure if it was indeed Stella or not. We came to our table and I asked Matt to pass me the baby and he didn't have her. I looked at the table and Eli was there. We sat and I ordered some "Ahi Mahi". I noticed the TV on the wall and it was of some fire performers. The manager at the restaurant and some of the bussers looked just like them. I told the manager I felt I knew him and possibly seen him and the others preform at the Kalahari in the dells earlier that year. I remember looking at the TV and then back at him quite a few times trying to connect the dots in my memory.
Husband

TEETH
Another dream I had upon waking was of my teeth breaking and falling out. It took me awhile to realize in the dream that indeed it was a dream. I kept batteling with myself over if it was indeed a dream or real this time.

In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death.
According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if you are telling lies.

It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.

Alligator Swamp

One of the dreams I had this morning started out with my mother and I going to get something she had forgotten at her home. I was then at a lake house on a little lake. I walked around a bend where it turned into a swamp. I was sitting on a little hill and there was 2 people besides me and they were breaking down a tree that was infested with ants. I sat in the grass and watched them break branches and take the stump apart like a Lego castle. The girl was digging around in the tree looking for the ant colony. I got up and noticed a small alligator run past me and into the swamp. The water was very murky and filled with algae. Another little alligator started chasing me and I ran past another HUGE alligator covered in algae and jumped into the water I started screaming for help and swimming towards walmart which was across the swamp. I then thought to myself how stupid it was to jump into the pond and that I shouldve lit a cigarette and scared off the little alligator, now i have the huge one to deal with in this swamp! I was then out and back at the little lake house (almost like the whole dream re-winded) and I was looking out at the water and Eli was in the lake with his life vest on. Then an Alligator pulled him under and I woke up.

I had a few more dreams as well. One of me trying to help people out of an apartment building that was on fire. I helped out 2 small babies with the help of a man who grabbed the woman and another baby. Then I went in and was telling people to get out because of the fire. I got to the top floor and there were 3 boys sitting on a couch playing video games. I told them they needed to get out and one boy told me he was playing with a lighter and cigarette and it started the attic on fire but it went out. I started lecturing him about playing with fire and noticed out the window that the fire truck arrived. I told the boy how hard they have to work and how serious it all is. I then made him climb down the ladder from the top story.

the last one I remember was of me at my home. A totally different house then i am in now. I was cleaning my house and was thinking that i had to work later that evening. my neighbor came by with her kids and laft them at my house. My husband told her I would watch them. I was very aggravated because i didn't say i could and i had to work. I also had a TON of stuff to do. I was crying and going through toys and games that were just a complete mess and disorganized. I was freaking out and everyone seemed to be humored by my anxiety.

Jelly fish

In my dream last night I was on a dock. My 2 oldest children were with me and wading in the water. There were Jellyfish all around and coming up to the dock. I told the children to get out of the water and showed them up close how the jellyfish could sting them. They looked like white mushrooms with pink tenticles coming off of them. Later there were larger darker jellyfish in the water. At the end of the dream I was mearly a spectator to a woman on a boat. It was played out like i was watching a movie. She was riding on a speed boat and there were cameras around filming her. I was somehow just floating around in the sky watching.

Docks

Bridges and Car Accidnets

I had a couple dreams i can remember last night that felt could use some interpretation.

 The first was of me and my daughter crossing a bridge. She was on her scooter and i was walking. The bridge started to seperate and she got caught in the middle and fell into the water. It was dark out and the water was flowing. I yelled to her to swim to the shore. I was about to jump in after her but she safetly made it to the shore and climbed out. I kept asking her if she was ok, and she would reply that she was just fine.

The other dream occured durring the daytime in a subdivision. I was at my brothers house (not the same as it is in real life) and we were discussing the name of his soon to be son. He told me he was thinking of Henry Michael David. Then he was getting ready for work and got into a drag style race car and sped out of the subdivision. I heard the car rev as it turned the corner behind some trees where i could no longer see the car. I hear it hit another car and roll down the road. I ran out of the house to find a whole family laying on the side of the road. Someone said to me "Its not good".
 I yelled for my brother and could hear him in the distance. He was up the road about a mile and in jail already. The car he was in was demolished. I went to all the children and adults in the family and they were all sleeping. I gently touched their arms and woke them up. Everyone was OK. We talked in what was my brothers home and he was back with us. I was telling them that their necks may be achy for about a week and I touched my own and was in some pain myself. There was one woman there that stated that she was pregnant and got to hear the heartbeat and that the Dr told her that everything should be just fine with her and her baby dispite the car accident.

Balloons and Floods

My dream last night started with me on a highway in a car. I was driving over hills and to some sort of festival. As i was coming over a hill i noticed a ton of hot air balloons. All of which were rolling along the ground and falling out of the sky. None had the baskets attached to them. Some were bounding along the ground and others just rolling or falling out of the sky. This continued as I came to a gate which was apparently the US/Mexico border. I wanted to get around the huge wooden gate that stood in my way. My sister was on the other side with her family and were preparing to watch some fire works. It was still daytime. Then there was lots of rain and flooding around either side of the gate that i couldn't walk though. so I waited. There were a lot of people around and it was very crowded. Soon the rain stopped and the flood waters began to lower. I could get around the gate on what seemed to be the rocky bed of a brook that the water drained out of. I walked around the gate being careful not to step in the mud and searched for my sister and her family. I remember finding her husband in the crowd and his mother. All the while there were still balloons in the air and they were still bouncing and falling out of the sky. There was some kind of list we were talking about that had to do with work posted on a wooden board on the wall. That is where i stopped remembering the dream. I am pretty sure it was getting dark by this time.

Highway

Gate

Attack Cheetah

The only thing I can remember from my dream last night was me sitting in a car, in the drivers seat. It was dark outside and I as driving. I spotted a cheetah in my head lights off to the left of the car. It sprung at me through the window and was trying to attack me. I was holding it by the shoulders and screaming at the top of my lungs. I eventually threw it out the window and awoke with those deep pangs of fear running through my body.

Driving

A Mess, Cats, Stairways

The first dream I had last night was in a home I used to live in. My husband apparently lived there alone in the dream. It was TRASHED and his mother was coming to clean for him. I was emptying full ashtrays that were all over the house. I was disgusted.

Ashtray

the last dream was of me in a hotel. I was going in and out of doors and up elevators and up stairs. I would open a door and be out on a ledge really high up above a party going on below. Everything was white and it was a black tie event below. My Ex-sister-in-law, who died a couple years back was in it. We were on some stairs and she was telling me something that I cant quite remember. I do remember he apologizing for something. Then we were talking about a pair of shoes she had and something about her mother and her daughter Heaven. I cant quite remember what we were talking about. But she looked really good, better than I remember her looking here on Earth. She kept laughing about these shoes she had and how her mom got mad she cut them up.

Hotel
To see a hotel in your dream, signifies a new state of mind or a shift in personal identity. Door

Gone Fishing

My dream last night was situated in a boat on a river near a damn. I was with my husband and maybe my dad? I remember my husband being there for sure. We were right next to the damn which was very tall. I could see a large ammount of fish in the river. The damn was closed and the water was pretty still. We pulled a huge fish out, I mean a fish about 4feet long. There was a lot more to the dream I cant remember very well. I think my son was also in the dream. I also believe at some point in the dream I flew away through the woods. 


Boat

Shot Down

My dream was set in a field that was also a parking lot & during the day. My children and I were in our truck and my husband was besides another car. There were 2 men in the car who resembled some 80's gangsters. I am not sure what business my husband had with the men in the car. The driver emerged and my husband and him exchanged a few words I don't remember. The man pulled out a gun, cocked it and shot 2 rounds into the air. My husband then also pulled out and gun and cocked it. He shot the man that emerged from the car. Everything was in slow motion at this time. Then I looked behind my husband and there were a few other men emerging from another vehicle. I called to my husband for us to leave but there were vehicles blocking us and he was not listening. The men had lots of guns and started firing rounds at my husband and hitting him twice. I could see my husband fall slowly to the ground in slow motion and I was freaking out in the car. I unbuckled my sons car seat and pulled him to the floor of the truck. He was whimpering and crying as he watched his father fall to the ground with 2 gunshot wounds that were bleeding. I had the door open and was in the back seat with my children. I called to my husband to come into the vehicle. I was contemplating in my head whether to pull him into the vehicle and drive off or call 911. The other men that shot him got into their vehicles and drove off. I awoke in panic and could not get the dream out of my head.

The next dream I had was set in the night. I was in a fenced in yard throwing Frisbees around. They glowed in the dark. I was playing with a bunch if children I did not know. My son was there. The children I did not know were behaving in odd ways like sucking on each others fingers. I got weirded out and was preparing to leave. I couldn't find my sons shoes. There was an older lady there who was telling me it was all OK and gave me a hug. I thought she was a little weird for letting these children behave the way they were. I left with my son, then woke up.

I will be back to decipher the dream.

Ice Cream and Nuts

There isn't much from my dream that i do remember besides the ice cream.

I was in a cafeteria, I believe it was a school or hospital, not sure which one. I was trying to purchase a quart of ice cream to bring home and they didn't have the pecan kind I really wanted. I remember telling someone in line that I needed the pecan kind because I ate it all the time when I was pregnant with Stella (in reality its not true though)
So I got plain vanilla and wound up running into a concession that had just the pecans. I purchased those and was planning on mixing them when I got home. The pecans were mixed with caramel.

 Cafeteria
To dream that you are in a cafeteria, denotes that there may be a lot of issues "eating" you up inside.
School
A dream that takes place in school may be a metaphor for the lessons that you are learning from your waking life. You may be going through a "spiritual learning" experience.

This dream is obvously referring to the ongoing battle over having another pregnancy after our loss. It is a battle that is wearing me out and driving me nuts. The cafeteria is representing how this subject is eating me up inside. Both the school and hospital, because i wasn't sure where i was but both were thoughts in my head as to where i was, is representing that this is both.  I feel the purchasing of the ice cream is maybe the fact that i can not accept NOT having more children and i am maybe weighing the price it will take to have another. Also the fact that i was buying the ice cream for my family and not myself is another thing. The quart is representing the fact i am not whole. I wonder about the nuts not being in the ice cream and that i finally got them on my way out of the whole situation. I am not too sure how to interpret this and i really dont want to take it the wrong way. Is there anyway for dreams to tell you the future?? Is it all just a way for your brain to process what is occurring in the now? Maybe the vanilla is representing pregnancy in general and how it is a pure thing, i lost my last one to stillbirth and that was an aweful experience. I am not sure. Anyone have any input or help on this interpretation?

Running Away

Last nights dream was just strange to me, as most of my dreams are.

Matt, the kids and myself were planning a trip up to see his dad. We packed the kids in the truck and headed northbound. Matt was driving the truck and i was riding shotgun. He was driving really close to the lake and it seemed to be flooded. There were ice chunks and snow around and a lot of people all along the shore. We stopped the truck and got out. Eli wanted to go swimming but i was clearly too cold. I stepped into the water and it was warm. We were then up and in a hotel. My sister, he husband and her kids were there as well. Briana and I had tickets to some kind of red carpet awards down at the hotel across the street. We went down and there were some celebrities around. I remember some kind of issues like a broken window but we did end up in the theartre and watched some of the awards.
Later we were still "up north" and on the way to matts fathers but i was at a. Itallian wedding for some reason. It was in a large room that reminded me much of a cafeteria and i remember looking at some people but not really noticing the rest. The room was filled with people though. I went outside to have a ciggerette with a group of men and was talking with on in particular. He was older, about his mid 50's or so and he was telling me about the bride and groom. The groom was one of 12 members of the band "Boston". (I know there are not 12 people in the band but that was the case in my dream. lol! ) As we were out side i jumped up and was up on the wall of the building near the roof. I kind of floated down and lit a ciggerette. One of the men was startled and taken back by me jumping like i did. He suddenly was "on to me" and knew i didnt really belong at the wedding. There was a monkey on the porch with a gun and was fumbling around with the shotgun and almost shot himself a few times. I ran around the building to avoid the monkey with the gun.
I went back into the wedding and was drinking a Fresca. The man from  outside came up to me and asked me for my credit card, I told him no and he tried robbin gme of it. He said i owed 16$ for the soda. I told him no way and ran out of the wedding. He asked if i was staying for dinner and i told him no because they w ould probably charge me for it. I ran out and ran down the street. A blonde girl about the same age as me was chasing after me. I took of running down the side walk of streets just out side of the city. The girl was trying to talk to me but i dont remember what she was saying. Then the side walk eneded and we were at the ocean. It was crystal clear and sapphire blue. The sun was beating down and it was beautiful. We both ran off of the sidewalk and jumped, fully clothed into the water. It felt great. Then we noticed that we were in someones back yard and the woman was sunbathing on her porch. She glanced at us as we climbed up the ladder on her peir. She didnt say a word, but we had apologized and left walking through her house. As we passed by the hallway there were a few guys in a room smoking and playing some video games. The blonde girl wanted to stay and i was out of there. As i walked out of the front door of the house and the blonde girl was there on the stoop looking up at me in only a white dress shirt and soaked from jumping into the water. I was then worried about my phone and the fact that it was wet and i needed to find Matt and the kids to head up to his dads house. I tried using my phone but it was all messed up and crackling because of water damage.  I tried looking in my phone for matts number but it wasnt in my phone at all. I decieded to turn it off untill it dried and maybe i would have a better chance at it working.
I walked allong with the blonde girl still following me. We eneded up in the middle of the city at a train station. We were sitting around waiting for the train outside and talking with a group of black men. I remember talking to one in particular and telling him about my experience at the wedding and then what happened to my phone. There was then two blonde girls there with me. They were both talking crap about the other and comparing body types. One was a bit larger than the other but she seemed happy and content, the other was still big but had some surgery done to her figure and she was flaunting it. I then walked away and tried calling matt again. The communication was still broken up but we eneded up meeting by the side of the road. Just Briana and Matt were in the truck and i was instantly worried about my son Elijah. I awoke worried because he had a fever before bed last night.
Road Trip

* Matt was driving the truck. Representing the idea i feel matt is controlling my life.

*The lake was flodded and filled with ice and snow. I feel it is representing the face that we are going through some turmoil in our relationship and its cold.

*I feel this is representing the hope i try to keep. Eventhough it all looks so cold and bad i still try hard to feel that hope.

*I was jumping 2Xs in this dream, once away from all the men up onto the wall of the building and again into the ocean. The time i was jumping away from the group of men i dont quite understand. I almost had the flying feel to it.
