Chased by Dinosaurs

My entire dream cycles consisted of being chased by a T-Rex. I was with both of my children and as we traveled from era to era, there was always a giant dinosaur chasing us.
We started in a little house on the prairie era, running through fields. Always in the distance I could hear the T-Rex growling and stomping around. Every time he seen us he would come after us and I would have to find a place for us to hide.
I found a car, an old station wagon, and we drove to an old abandoned building to hide. He came extremely close to getting us this time. Trying to grab in through the windows and snapping at us.  But we eluded him.
When we came out of the building, we were in a flooded area or what seemed like tropical or rice fields. We were in the water and walking towards a garage. My husband was in the garage working on a car, it may have also been the car we were just in. He was with a friend who had passed away 5 years back.
The dinosaur was then on our tails again and Matt was gone. He left with his friend. I was with the kids still and we were in the garage. Once I though I had time for us to escape we left waist deep in water and into the jungle/woods. We were then in the car on a dirt road in the woods headed towards the peninsula where I grew up.
We got to a house and scurried in because the dinosaur was again close. There were many levels to the house and it seemed industrial in the top half. Old and dusty as well. We clambered through the house finding hiding spots so the Dino wouldn't see us through the windows.
At one point in the dream I remember being in the car the T-Rex looking at us through the windows and I told Briana not to look it in the eye. Much of the dream Briana was being very rebellious and refusing to listed to me, even though it was all for her safety and life. Eli also started acting out and I told them both "Fine, go on your own, go out and get eaten by the dinosaur" They both started for the door and I stopped them telling them I couldn't let them go because I loved them too much.
I was waking up through the night and each time I went back to sleep the dream continued where it left off. I cant remember as much as I would like to, but this gives the gist of what occurred though out the entire night.
I looked on dream moods to interpret some of the dream and this is what I found.

Tyrannosaurus Rex . *This is the second time I have had a T-rex in my dreams in the last couple months.

To dream that you are being attacked or chased by a tyrannosaurus indicates that you are being belittled by others. You feel you are being taken for granted.
To see your offspring in your dream symbolizes an aspect of yourself that you are trying to nurture. The dream is telling you to take some time off so you can cater to the inner child within.

Dinosaur .
To dream that you are being chased by a dinosaur indicates your fears of no longer being needed or useful. Alternatively, being chased by a dinosaur, may reflect old issues that are still coming back to haunt you.
To dream that you are hiding suggests that you are keeping some secret or withholding some information. You may not be facing up to a situation or dealing with some issue. However, you may be getting ready to reveal something and confess before somebody finds out. In particular, to dream that you are hiding from some authority figure (police, parent, teacher...) implies feelings of guilt.
Station Wagon
To see or drive a station wagon in your dream refers to your family and issues surrounding your inner circle.
To see a building in your dream represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding, awareness or success. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality.

To see a building in ruins or damaged indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow.

To see a window in your dream signifies bright hopes, vast possibilities and insight. If the window of a house is dark, then it indicates a loss to your perception or vitality. To see a tinted window in your dream represents your need for privacy. You are keeping some aspects of yourself hidden. You also want to remain ambiguous. To dream that you are washing windows suggest that you need some clarity in some matter. Something is not clear. To dream that you are entering or exiting through a window suggests that you are involved in some secretive or underhanded activity. Alternatively, the dream means that you are creating your own opportunities. You make things happen instead of waiting for them to happen. To dream that you are entering or exiting through a window suggests that you are involved in some secretive or underhanded activity. Alternatively, the dream means that you are creating your own opportunities. You make things happen instead of waiting for them to happen. If you fall or are push through a window in your dream, then it means that you are unwillingly going along with a plan. Perhaps you feel pressured into doing something that you really do not want to do. Your own vision is in conflict with someone else's.
To dream that you are in a flood represents your need to release some sexual desires. If the flood is raging, then it represents emotional issues and tensions. Your repressed emotions are overwhelming you. Consider where the flood is for clues as to where in your waking life is causing you stress and tension. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are overwhelming others with your demands and strong opinion. Still another interpretation could be your desire to wipe everything clean and make a fresh new start.

To see a gentle flood in your dream indicates that your worries over a certain matter will soon be swept away
To dream that you are walking with ease signifies a slow, but steady progress toward your goals. You are moving through life in a confident manner. Consider your destination.
To dream that you are in a garage signifies a period of inactivity and idleness in your life. You feel that you are lacking direction or guidance in achieving your goals.
To see your husband in your dream signifies the waking relationship with your husband and the subconscious feelings you have towards him. The dream may be trying to focus on hidden elements that you are not addressing in your waking life.
To see water in your dream symbolizes your subconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. To dream that water is boiling suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. Feelings from your subconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged. You need to let out some steam. To see calm, clear water in your dream means that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation. If someone throws water at you in your dream, then it implies that you need to show more of your emotions. You have been too disconnected from others. Alternatively, it may mean that you need to cool off.
To dream that you are in a jungle signifies aspects of yourself and your personality that may be inhibited. You may be experiencing some chaos and unpredictable circumstances in your waking life. Consider the phrase "it's a jungle out there!"
If you are lost or trapped in a jungle, then it indicates that your negative feelings are hindering your progress. You need to come to terms with aspects of your subconscious.
To see the woods in your dream represent life, fertility, rejuvenation, and spring. Alternatively, the woods symbolize the unknown and the subconscious. You need to open yourself up to discovering your potential and your instinctual nature.
To dream that you are walking through the woods signify your return to an aspect of yourself that is innocent and spiritual. If you are walking out of the woods, then the dream may be a literal depiction of being "out of the woods" or being in the clear of some situation.
To dream that you are lost in the woods indicates that you are starting a new phase in your life. You are expressing some anxiety about leaving behind what is familiar to you.
To dream that the woods are dry or dying suggests that there is a situation in your life that has not yet been resolved. You are overwhelmed with a problem or issue.

To see a house in your dream represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the subconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system. To dream that a house has no walls represents a lack of privacy. You feel that everyone is looking over your shoulder or up in your business. If you live with others in your walking life, but dream that you are living alone suggests that you need to take new steps toward independence. You need to accept responsibilities and be more self-reliant. If you are locked out of the house, then it represents rejection and insecurity. You feel you are being left behind.

To see an abandoned house in your dream implies that you have left behind your past. You are ready to move forward toward the future. To see an old, run-down house in your dream represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking. If you see messy and/or dilapidated houses in your dream, then it implies that an aspect of your own life is in chaos. You may be suffering from some emotional or psychological clutter. You need to release these feelings in order to regain control. To dream that your house is damaged indicates your waking concerns about the condition of your house. To dream that you are cleaning your house signifies your need to clear out your thoughts and get rid of old ways. You are seeking self-improvement. To see a new house in your dream indicates that you are entering into a new phase or new area in your life. You are becoming more emotionally mature.
* I feel much of this dream makes sense entirely. Just more i have to work on, because I that F'd up. sigh...............

  1. oh my!!! I had almost the exact dream as you did except for some parts.I don't have kids but first I hid my mother then my brother. I didn't see my husband in the dream. When we was inside of a building it was always like those group homes and a cabnit of summer camp. But I never came eye to eye with the T-Rex. The way the dream began was the exact way in an open field and heard the T-Rex from far away but i was with many other people "in the beginning". Also how you was getting close to your hiding spots the T-Rex happens to find his way towards you. Every other month I dream of T-rex chasing me and its funny because like you said I wake up throughout the mornings (for me) and I go right back to sleep where I left off.
    Crazy huh?

  2. I had a dream about a T. rex chasing me in a house and heating water to kill him ( why water lol ) I run into the bed room and hiding in the closet. Every time I have this dream I hide and right before it goes the closet I wake up.

  3. I had the same dream, we blinded the t-rex with a diamond machine-gun. Go figure, that didn't help a lot.

  4. I periodically have this dream. Others I don't know are in it. Just woke up scared since I dreamt it again last night. It wants only me in my dreams.

    1. Yes, that's the thing with these dreams, eh? There are other humans around, but the dinosaurs always just want us... like our past is haunting us or something.

  5. It’s no secret that a man’s ego has a powerful pull on him.

In fact this hardwired need to impress and to WIN is so deeply embedded into the male mind...

That nearly everything a man truly desires is based around this biological “drive” to prove, succeed and to win.

It’s why so many men become workaholics, gym junkies or become obsessed with their hobbies.

But what most women don’t know... how deeply this “drive” is connected to his love, desire, and attraction for the woman in his life.

And I’m about to show you how you can “tap into” a man’s ege to refocus that same drive and gut level obsession...

...on pleasing you, romancing you, and proving his love for you like you’re his sole purpose in life.

Here’s how: ==> The “Go Ahead” Signal That Makes Him Obsessed With Winning Your Love

    Mr Gix

P.S. When you tap into a man’s ego this way, you can cause him to literally become obsessed with proving his love for you. So please don’t use this on a man unless you are ready for something serious.

    Thanks again.

  6. Wow! Two themes that really stood out to me, were 'Dinosaur' and 'Hiding'. This morning, I awoke with a start after dreaming that I was part of some backpack-hiking group, which met up at what seemed to be a grocery store in the middle of a big, rocky field (with a Prehistoric feel). Sure enough, dinosaurs noticed us humans so we were running back into the store - I tried to lock the glass door behind me, but there was a huge Stegosaurus, smashing against the glass to get in. I realized the imminent danger, so I ran as far into the other side of the store as I could, and hid inside some metal fixture (I was able to open it and wrap it around me somehow). This Steg. followed right to the area, like he wanted to eat me personally, and knew I was hiding in there. Now you had mentioned dinosaurs representing the past, and hiding representing keeping a secret.. lately, I've been doing some work with the inner child (like, hypnosis stuff) and I think painful memories are resurfacing and hard to face/accept. These metaphors are so accurate!
